India vs England: Umpire Paul Reiffel After His Head Injury – Leaves The Ground

Umpire Head Injury: This incident occurred in the post Lunch session, and the umpire was later taken to the hospital for medications. Reiffel, a former Australia quick bowler, was standing on square-leg and Bhuvneshwar threw the ball to Cheteshwar Pujara from the outfield. In a special case, the throw did not reached Pujara and hit the umpire. Marias Erasmus was substitution on-field. He was the 3rd umpire in this match yet needed to go ahead the field after the incident. C Shamsuddin, who was the hold official, for the DRS technology that was used first time by BCCI took control over the duties of the third umpire. The big question is whether Reiffel can take the field in this match again or not.

That must be known after the reports will be out. This happened on the first day of the Test match and four more days are yet to be played. The fourth and penultimate Test between India and England started on Thursday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India had won the second & third Test to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-coordinate arrangement.
